Answer by Marcia K You don’t say what part of the country you are in. Depending upon the level of addiction, the treatment center will recommend a length of time for treatment. Go with whatever they recommend. They know what they are doing. Good luck.

If no primary care physician then you can go to an emergency room. A lot of hospitals deal with detox and rehab situations on their lock down psyche ward.
